Repair Cafe

Repair Café Whanganui is part of Repair Cafe Aotearoa New Zealand and provides an opportunity to give damaged items a new lease of life and save them from landfill.

Bring your items in need of repair … The range of repairs possible is growing all the time: general repairs; metal and wooden items, mending for clothes, bed linen and soft toys (no zips); costume jewellery; hard plastics; ceramics; shoes (patches) and leather goods; knife and tool sharpening.

Sewing machine repairs are available on even-numbered months. Small electrical appliances can be assessed on odd-numbered months.

Our repairers can also give you advice on where to access parts and care for your belonging.

Two items max per person. Last repairs accepted at 12.30pm.

Please be willing to give a good donation for your repair.

Our café will be open. You are welcome to buy a hot drink and something to eat while you wait.
