Wild About Weeds with Margi Keys
If you know which weeds can be eaten, just think how much money you could save by allowing them to flourish in your own back yard where you know herbicides have not been sprayed.
Forager Margi Keys will share her enthusiasm for some nutritious edible weeds in her presentation to Green Drinks on Tuesday 14 January.
Margi has been growing and using weeds for tea and culinary purposes since her eight-plus years at Potaka on the East Coast between 1976 and 1985. Her wild garden in Springvale contains useful weeds such as purslane, fat hen, chickweed, violet, yarrow, dandelion, borage and nasturtium.
